Hi! I’m Jordanne. I’m the founder of Julep Publicity and the creator of the PR Training Program.
I’ve been working in public relations for almost 15 years! Wow, time flies when you’re securing press coverage. Throughout the years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with many amazing PR agencies and brands. However, one thing I haven’t been able to move past is the disappointment I encountered when start-ups and small business owners would receive a PR proposal and wouldn’t be able to move forward because of budget. Or worse yet, they poured all of their extra funding into a PR agency, only to have to stop the retainer before seeing any results.
I’ve always had an affinity for small business owners and entrepreneurs. Both of my parents are inventors, and I think entrepreneurship runs in my blood. So, I set out to create an affordable solution for small business owners because, after all, it’s usually the start-ups who have the best stories to share!
I first started with a group-style PR Training Program. I considered it to be a great success and even had the editor-in-chief of Entrepreneur Magazine, Jason Feifer, speak to one of my groups. It was six weeks of weekly calls and online modules that consisted of training on how to get your brand "press ready" and pitch the media.
However, I quickly realized that some of the participants needed an option for more accountability and customization, and that’s when the magic happened, I offered a one-to-one option to a marketing manager who wasn’t able to join the group. This new offering allowed me to meet individually with teams and help them craft their story and pitch the media. It has proved to be wildly successful, and participants have garnered media placements on TV, print and online outlets.
The lesson I learned, every business is different, which is why I now offer three different programs:
The first is the self-guided PR Training Program. This is perfect for solopreneurs, who want to learn more about PR, but prefer to do it at their own pace. The program includes lifetime access to the online training course AND access to a private Facebook group where I will conduct live trainings.
The second is my signature program, The VIP PR Training Program. This is perfect for small teams who are ready to execute a PR campaign immediately. We will jump right into the action, and I will be there to guide you through the entire process.
Finally, I wanted to offer a custom-tailored program to small and medium-sized businesses, which is why I’m offering the Custom PR Training Program. This program will combine one-to-one training with done-for-you services like media lists, press releases and more. It truly depends on the needs of the business.
